Recipe: two way BBQ Pizza

bbq-pizza-recipe

Aah, it’s one of the I like snack-attack meals there is a good old pizza. You either order it or shove a frozen one in your oven and you’re done. Today I’m sharing my two way BBQ pizza recipe. Easiest stuff ever!

Now I love baking in the weekends and I also like to know what goes into my meals, so a lot of sweets and snacks I bake myself these days. I  like to balance things out. As I said last week to someone: there’s a reason I have quite an expensive gym! One week I feast, other weeks I’m really strict :’) I make a habit of tracking what I eat, but I also think food is there to enjoy, so let’s stuff ourselves today with this two way bbq pizza. Why one flavor if you can have more?

Two way BBQ pizza recipe

Ingredients

Dough

  • 300 grams of flour
  • 7 grams of yeast
  • 150-170 ml water
  • A bit of olive or sunflower oil
  • Salt

Crust

  • Butter
  • Garlic clove
  • Salt
  • Parsley

Topping

  • 200 grams Ground Beef
  • 2 Chicken Tighs
  • 1 Paprika red or yellow
  • 1 Onion
  • Pepper, salt and paprika powder to taste
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Young Cheese
  • BBQ sauce

Pizza Dough

Put the ingredients for the dough together in a bowl and mix it until you can stretch the dough like it’s an elastic. As for the water, start with 150 ml and add more if necesarry. It should not be more than 170 ml.

When it’s done, knead it into a ball land leave it in the bowl with a dishcloth over it for about 40 minutes. After this 40 minutes it should be a bigger ball, meaning it has risen.

The Pizza Topping

Meanwhile, when the dough is resting, cut up the veggies and part it in two. One for frying with the ground beef and one for frying it with the chicken! To both, you can add the pepper, salt, and paprika. Make sure your meat isn’t raw anymore, cause your pizza will be in the oven for just 15minutes.

Back tot he dough. If you have a large oven you can use the dough in one piece, otherwi you can make two small ones. Whether you use a rolling pin or your hands to mold the dough into a pizza shape, that doesn’t matter. Just make sure you do it on a piece of baking paper! Dough can be sticky stuff, a bit of extra flower can come in handy.

Now the fun part!

Cover that baby in cheese and do one half with the ground beef and one with the chicken. At this point your pizza is shaping up nicely and you will be starting to get hungry.
Spread some BBQ sauce over it (don’t overdo it, I’d say) and lay little blankets of Cheddar Cheese over it.

No, not yet! Don’t forget the crust

Now you’d probably think you’d be done, but noooo! There’s still a crust to be taken care of. All you have to do is press a garlic clove and mix it into 30 grams of butter with some salt and parsley. Then you spread it nicely over the crust and you’ve got nothing left to do than bake that baby at 200 degrees, celcius for 15 minutes.
