For over 6 months now I’ve been eating FODMAP, which can be quite a challenge. You want to eat healthy, but you also don’t wanto spoil your test results by using the wrong products. And since the diet is kind of restricted it would be nice as well if it’s tasty too. FODMAP proof muesli luckily is one of those things you can’t go wrong with.
This recipe is inspired by the Dutch Fodmap Foodies.
Homemade FODMAP proof muesli recipe
Ingredients
- Pecan nuts, or FODMAP proof nuts like walnuts or Brazil nuts (1/3 to the whole, depending on how much you’d like to make in one go)
- A hand of cranberries
- Oats (2/3 to the whole)
- Seeds. I used line seed and pumpkin
- Maple syrup (about two dinner spoons for 300 grams)
- Cinnamon
- Oil (about two dinner spoons for 300 grams)
Ready, set, go and done!
If you’re going for a batch of 300 grams, use up to 100 grams of seeds an nuts and 200 grams of oats. The maple syrup and oil (like coconut or rapeseed oil) would both be about 2 dinner spoons.
Mix up the ingredients with cinnamon to taste! I’d recommend putting in the cranberries a bit later or afterwards. And now put the mix in a ovenproof dish or baking tin and whoop it in a 200 Celsius degree over for about 20 minutes.
VOILA. Easiest thing you’ve ever made! Looking for other FODMAP recipes? I’ll soon put on some more now I’ve got the hang of it and tested many. If you’re a lucky human being and still can eat everything, check out my old – not always so healthy – recipes 🙂
