Make it easy
So here’s a new idea. My fit and food challenge turns out to be really difficult the last couple of weeks. Oh, oh, oh.. And I was doing so well.. At first updates became weekly on sunday. Then they became somewhere around sunday with a sigma of days. Even later I just postponed my fitness and food goals to ‘when I have time I’ll pick up where I left’. We all know that’s just not going to happen any time soon :’)
On the one hand I am happy I chose to spend all that time on school and work, because I passed my midterm assesment, whoo! On the other hand.. letting fitness and all that stuff in the category ‘self-care’ slip more to the background has not only hurt the perfectionist and achiever in me, also my health. Sitting behind the laptop for hours at a time caused my back pains to return and not keeping my muscles supple with fitness doesn’t help either. Besides that I have this weird tick when I’m studying picking the skin on my face. And I’m not even going to mention my snacking behaviour when busy :’) The other extreme is I even forget to eat at all!
Since I’m really not in the mood to gain weight, wreck my face or unnecessarily prolong the issues with my back I’m challenging myself to a new but doable challenge.
Why wait with taking care of myself when I need it now?
For the next 28 days these are my rules:
- FITNESS: One day a week is fitnesstime. It doesn’t matter which day, just one.
- FACE: 28 days not touching my face
- FOOD: Leave the snacks, eat a healthy dish instead
Knowing myself there’s always way too much at a time I’d like to achieve. So here’s to these three simple rules the coming 28 days and handing in my report for graduation.
Nothing more, nothing less. I’ve still got a life long to finish that bucket list. First things first!
I’d say I already scored a +1 with my brunch today <3 banana and apple with honey and cinnamon on Turkish yoghurt and a leftover pancake.
